What does cycling for the ages mean to you?
To me ‘Cycling for the Ages’ captures the enormous potential of cycling as a near universal mode of travel suitable for all lifecycle stages.
How will the city of the future look taking into consideration the gaps in the developing and developed world?
It is difficult to be certain about the city of the future. Given the pace of such is the pace of technological change and the need for sustainability the city of the future will be very different from the city of today.
What do you expect from Velo-city 2019 Dublin?
I expect Velo-city Dublin 2019 will be pivotal in revitalising the development of cycling as a mode of travel in Dublin.
Owen Keegan is a speaker in the fifth plenary session of Velo-city 2019 Dublin, entitled “The City of the Future” to take place on Tuesday, June 25th 2019 at 9.00-10.00.
