Do you also want more and better cycling in Europe and beyond? Support ECF and take part in the European cycling movement!
How to support us as an individual
First, consider joining your national cyclists’ association, one of ECF’s 60+ Member organisations. Find the list of our members here. (ECF represents its Member organisations and cannot accept membership applications from individuals.)
Second, we rely on external funding to achieve our ambitious goals for 2030. Consider supporting ECF’s core mission and operations with a monthly or one-time donation. Every contribution counts and is used to improve and increase cycling in Europe and help deliver the positive societal impacts of more cycling. Read more about how we deliver impact.
Third, get involved and help us spread our cycling messages across the world! You can disseminate our news, research and advocacy campaigns via email or social media. To keep track of ECF’s activities, sign up to our newsletter and follow us on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.

How to support us as a foundation, organisation or private company
The current context we operate in has never been more favourable to cycling. The backdrop of the Paris Agreement targets, the European Green Deal, COVID-19 recovery plans, the Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy, and increasing interest in more sustainable tourism options offer exciting new engagement opportunities for our advocacy work.
There is a huge opportunity to ensure cycling is put at the very heart of these developments, and at ECF we are doing our best to seize it. Our dedicated, passionate and hardworking staff are not only recognised experts in the field, but they are also skilled at maximising scarce resources and “punching above their weight” in fulfilling our mission.
To fully take advantage of the opportunities for cycling to realise its potential over the coming years, the European Cyclists’ Federation needs to significantly grow our capacity. This will enable us to build further awareness and momentum, and to advocate more powerfully and effectively for the policies, incentives and funding instruments that will achieve more and better cycling – and deliver lasting transformational change.
We are seeking to diversify and increase our funding by a total of at least €1 million per year, to grow our capabilities to do the following:
- Increase and enhance our ability to conduct compelling, evidence-based advocacy
- Strengthen the advocacy work our members and other stakeholders can do at national, regional, and local levels across Europe
- Accelerate the further development of EuroVelo, the European cycle route network
- Create and lead a more powerful civil society cycling movement across Europe
We would be delighted to share further details and explore potential options for partnering with you to realise cycling’s potential. Read more about who we are and how we deliver impact.
