On a global level, ECF and the World Cycling Alliance (WCA) network advocates for cycling within the different international institutions and processes.
From the climate change conferences (such as COP21 in Paris) to the development of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – ECF and WCA is the voice for cyclists around the world.
ECF and WCA are also involved in the Habitat III and New Urban Agenda process, pushing for cycling to be seen as a tool for transformative and sustainable urban development.
To push for the celebration and promotion of cycling all around the world, WCA has also launched the call to designate an official World Bicycle Day.
Through all this work and continued partnerships, cycling is getting higher on the sustainable and human rights agenda.
