This year's ECF Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place in Ireland, hosted by Cyclist.ie, Ireland's Cycling Advocacy Network. Located in Dublin, with the option to travel on into Sligo on the beautiful Atlantic Coast of the West of Ireland, this AGM is set to be a great one for all ECF Members and Candidate Members.

This meeting in Dublin is perhaps the only large gathering of cycling advocates in Europe this side of Velo-city Global in Adelaide in the summer. That’s if we ignore the Giro d’Italia which starts in Ireland on 9 May with no less than 1,200 media personnel assigned to it! This is a time for us utility cyclists to get together to remind the world that cycling is an everyday way of getting around at a nice easy pace – as well as a more rapid one!

Dublin's ‘Cycling City’ status is at No. 9 in ‘Copenhagenise Index’. The City has seen impressive growth of cycling, particularly in the past 5 years - doubling in the City Centre – and its latest mode-share is at 8%.

The city has a lively traditional music scene centred on its many pubs which we will ensure you get to sample.

Cyclist.ie has planned guided cycle trips around the both the city and the surrounding local authority areas so that you will experience the region’s built heritage, natural features and cycling facilities. They have rental bikes for our bike tours, so no need to bring your own bike!  And if you need a bike on other days the Dublin Public Bikes scheme gives easy access.
