This year, ECF’s Velo-city conference was set in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia. With the mountains on one side, and the beach on the other, Vancouver made itself a great host to bicycle experts, advocacy groups, industry heads, politicians, and bicycle enthusiast, alike. Let us know what you thought of Velo-city Vancouver!

Notable events ranged from presentations made by key speakers like Paul Tranter and Gil Penalosa, to awards like the Bicycle Personality of 2012, received by Randy Neufeld of SRAM, and the presentation of the Charter of Vancouver, focusing on the rights of children everywhere to cycle. Overall, the conference brought together discussions about bike technology, bicycle infrastructure, urban planning, and increasingly popular bicycle sharing schemes – to name a few.
