The Velo–city Conference Series aims to be a perfect platform for sharing experiences with policy makers, mobility and urban planners, tourism specialists, new smart cities technology gurus and intermodality experts. A perfect setting to tackle how global policies and governance are facing the new trends in urbanism and new ways of life, with cycling at the core of the discussion. In the midst of an extremely fast changing approach to new 21st cities’ settings, cycling is a key topic to address from very diverse disciplines.

This year, Rio de Janeiro hosts the Velo-city Conference. A city full of differences, contrasts and avantgarde trends, Rio, is also an extremely interesting city in terms of urban planning but also full of today’s social inclusion, integration, diversity and gender issues. At the center, cycling does seem a way forward to advance in today’s new cities’ disruptive scenarios.

Great things happen in the right setting. Development, growth, behavior change and awareness result from participation and involvement of the Conference participants not only, in the in-depth conference program, but also in the atmosphere and city venue environment. This time, the conference will be integrated in the Velo-city Exhibition, sharing spaces and atmospheres to result in a most unique and comprehensive experience.

The scenography of Velo-city 2018 creates a setting of nature and well-being, a place to live well, where the urban coexists with the natural. The innovative format of the Velo-city Exhibition will enhance this fusion in the city context.

For the first time in the history of Velo-city, parallel sessions and Exhibition will take place in the same location, at the open and shared space venue hosting the conference program. There are no walls but open spaces aligned with the latest integrating architecture trends, and activities will be held in the same unique and intelligent environment profiting from a 360 approach.

The Velo-city 2018 Exhibition, to occupy this space perfectly blends in with the program and audience. A perfect mixture of high quality sessions with an Exhibition that will foster reflection, forward thinking into future cities’ scenarios, new planning strategic perspectives and outlooks and a perfect sharing scenario for networking and effective solution proposals. A place to share and think, integrated at the core of one of the most worldwide emblematic cities in the world.

The new Velo-city Exhibition awaits you at the Velo-city Conference in Rio de Janeiro June 12-15 2018.
