We are pleased to have the Dutch Cycling Embassy in one of our parallel sessions at Velo-city 2019!

The Dutch Cycling Embassy is a public-private network for sustainable bicycle inclusive mobility, which represents the best of Dutch Cycling: knowledge, experience and experts offered by private companies, NGO’s, research institutions, national and local governments.

Have a look at their session description below.

27% of trips in the Netherlands are made by bicycle; a country that collectively pedals 15.5 billion km. per year. Yet there is a new push to make the best in the world even better. In 2015, “Tour de Force” was established; an ambitious plan to grow cycling by 20%—or 3.1 billion km annually—within a decade. As the scheme launches its second phase, a series of PechaKucha talks from Dutch experts will address improving bike-train connectivity, seeing streets from a child’s perspective, and using data to increase bicycle traffic flow, in an effort to create more happy cyclists!

The following speakers will be presenting during this session:

DCE Staff member (t.b.d.) – Dutch Cycling Embassy

Cindy Clevers – Tour de Force

Folkert Piersma – ProRail

Angela van der Kloof – Mobycon

Janine Hogendoorn – Ring-Ring®

Jeroen Steenbakkers – The Urban Future

We look forward to seeing you at Velo-city 2019!

This session will take place on Tuesday, June 25th 2019 at 10.45-11.45.
