Raluca Fiser is the President of the World Cycling Alliance, Vice President and board member of the European Cyclists' Federation, as well as President of Green Revolution Association (environmental NGO).
Raluca founded in 2009 Green Revolution Association, the first Romanian NGO of urban ecology that implements measures underlying the building of a green city. Expert in strategic management and communication, she is coordinating CSR projects for more than 7 years as Managing Partner. In 2007 she launched the first Romanian media organization on environmental business and legislation, called Green Report. She is also responsible for business development and implementation, strategy & communication, liaison with partners and strategic networks including governments, industry and civil society as well as securing the NGO’s funding. Direct responsible for the NGO result and communication strategies. Developer and operator of the Ivelo (www.ivelo.ro) bike-sharing projects.
What does cycling for the ages mean to you?
The Joy everybody feels from the seat of the bike is the same, regardless the age.
What do you expect from Velo-city 2019 Dublin?
The most important event for cycling professionals and advocates is the perfect place to reconfirm that we have a common goal for more people cycling more often in better and safe conditions all over the world. Velo-City Dublin is the frame we need to identify how we can work on this together and how we can make cycling relevant on the national and global political agenda.
