On Thursday 5th March 2015 FIAB is organising a seminar on the intermodality of sustainable transport in collaboration with the Inter-Parliamentary Group of Friends of the Bicycle. The seminar will take place in the Chamber of Deputies in Montecitorio.

The meeting is one of the first events in preparation for the "Stati Generali della Mobilità Nuova" which is scheduled to take place in Bologna from 10th to 12th April 2015.

The Italian government has recently informed that in March it proposes to introduce new legislation concerning the funding of the Green Act. This move has been prompted by the forthcoming International conference in Paris in 2015.

First and foremost, it is FIAB's intention to contribute to a developing model of daily bicycle mobility and cycle tourism in Italy.

Last year, in a similar seminar, FIAB discussed the framework for a law concerning bicycle mobility.  This year FIAB intends to draw attention to the theme of intermodality because public transport and the bicycle must be able to integrate in order to offer citizens efficient and modern mobility.
