The Second China Cycling Conference will be launched in Shenzhen in November

On 19th-20th of November, 2016 the Second China Cycling Conference will be launched in Shenzhen city, hosted by Green Bike Transit. Scholars and other experts in a sector will focus on the topic of cycling as a mean of transport. Discussions will take place in order to promote a bike-friendly city and to encourage more people to cycle.

Participants of the conference will come from different cities and countries, presenting diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Foreign experts and scholars will share their experience on a change from automobile-oriented cities in the US and EU to a bike-friendly ones. Together with the local participants they will discuss difficulties and realistic challenges that occur while implementing measures for promoting bicycle culture, they will also debate on the issues of city block microcirculation in terms of speed and safety.

In addition, some positive changes have been implemented in terms of conference format. Participants will get a chance to see an exhibition and to cycle themselves rather than just attending lectures. What is more, various parallel forums hosted by different organizations will take place: cycling as a mean of transport and urban construction will be discussed, putting forward inspirations for construction and development of sustainable cities. Finally, the round-table discussion will be organised, and this year the operations and the tendencies of public bicycles will be the main topic.
