When Europe’s cycling family returns from its summer holidays many will start their long build-up for the Velo-city 2018 in Rio de Janeiro.

But for ECF the planning has long been in development, so our program of global outreach and sharing the key topics for cycling continues all year round. Particularly important is to maintain the continuity with host cities and countries from previous editions, so it is the perfect fit that ECF and World Cycling Alliance President Manfred Neun has been invited to be a speaker and guest at the EcoMobility World Congress in Kaohsiung, Taiwan on 2 - 4 October 2017.

He will bring insights into the key messages and highlights from Velo-cities in Taipei 2016 and Arnhem-Nijmegen 2017 and build momentum for the key themes of Velo-city 2018 in Rio. This will be a perfect match with the key-theses of the Kaohsiung congress, which will be about liveable, shared and intelligent cities through ecomobility.
