Reuters reports on Bike2Work scheme

Reuters website reported today on the Bike2Work scheme that ECF is coordinating. As its name suggests, the scheme is geared at encouraging commuters to use their bicycles in their daily commute. Motivation for physical exercise isn't the only factor that comes into play in a worker's decision to cycle (or not) to his workplace. An encouraging fiscal climate needs to exist so that the bike commute makes sense economically. Fiscal benefits exist for using public transport, and car use is often subsidised. Why not cycling?
