Countdown to MOVE Week 2013 has officially started and ‘Move Agents’ all around Europe organize hundreds of inspirational events to promote physical activity and, of course, cycling. Uzundere District Village Service Union in Turkey will have a dynamic presence in MOVE Week 2013 with a three day workshop on the benefits of cycling as well as a cycling journey inside the charms of Choruh Valley.

Choruh Valley is a fascinating region at Northeastern of Turkey. It is the passing point form Cappadocia to Georgia via Erzurum. Apart from its mystical scenery and rich history Choruh Valley is also the home to one of the most impressive events of MOVE Week 2013 for the promotion of cycling tourism and infrastructure in the region. During a daily workshop on October 12th various stakeholders from the world of cycling will have the opportunity to share best practice and their experiences in influencing local and national policy-making (ex. EuroVelo project) whereas on October 13th a bike journey will take place starting from the village of Sapaca to the Lake of Yikiklar and the waterfall of Tortum. This combination of cycling workshop with an impressive bike journey sets a complete and inspiring example of how ECF members can inject true variety into NowWeMove Campaign and at the same time create a great opportunity of exposure for their own mission by taking part in a scorching pan-European platform.
