A survey targeting 1500 employees and employers across Europe is launched by the HEMA Project partners. How do employees go to work? How often are they physically active during working hours? What would encourage them to move more? What constraints and opportunities do employers face in offering incentives for physical activity to their employees? These are some of the questions that we invite employees and employers to answer. The results of the survey will be used to design pilot programmes for active mobility and physical activity to be implemented in companies in Belgium, France and Latvia in the next phase of the HEMA project.

The survey has been drafted to collect data and information on current programmes for employees to be more active, as well as to record the perceptions and expectations of employees on these programmes. This survey aims to:

  • give an overview of the current practices in companies in promoting active mobility and physical activity in the workplace
  • identify the employees’ perceptions, expectations and wishes
  • assess the investment and involvement of the companies into such programmes
  • identify the breaks and levers for implementation of active programs according to the employees’ point of view
Take the HEMA - Survey on Active Mobility and Physical Activity ate the workplace - For Employees!
It only takes 10-12 minutes to complete. The answers are anonymous and confidential, and they will not be individually transmitted.

“Healthy Employee, Mobile and Active” (HEMA) is a 3-year program intended to tackle the high level of physical inactivity in Europe. HEMA is supported and co-funded by the European Commission in the field of Erasmus+ program and European Week of Sport. The workplace is identified as a key area to act in favour of European citizens being active and healthy.

This project is coordinated by the European Federation for Company Sport in association with European Cyclists’ Federation, Chamber of Commerce of Corinth in Greece, European Platform for Sport and Innovation, University of Coimbra in Portugal, Estonian association Kalev, Finnish Club of Tampereen Pyrintö, Daugavpils municipality in Latvia, Sport Vlaanderen and Club des Villes et Territoires Cyclables in France.
