What is EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK?

The EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK campaign has sought to improve public health and quality of life since 2002, by influencing mobility and urban transport. It encourages people to explore their city streets, experiment with urban solutions and present sustainable mobility alternatives to local residents. Local stakeholders are strongly encouraged to use the Week as an opportunity to come together, discuss the different issues of mobility, jointly find solutions that reduce car use and emissions, test new measures and technologies and get feedback from the public.

More than 1200 cities and towns have registered for EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK, and more than 200 MOBILITYACTIONS have been registered by individuals, NGOs, public/private institutions and companies!

THEME 2017: Clean, Shared and Intelligent Mobility

EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2017 will take place on 16-22 September 2017, and will be celebrated under the theme of "Clean, shared and intelligent mobility", using the call-to-action "Sharing gets you further." Participants are required to organize activities based on this theme, and are encouraged to promote permanent measures supporting shared smart mobility! Shared mobility reduces our expenses and lowers our carbon footprint. Best of all, it makes us meet new people, allowing for more sociable journeys! Watch the call to Action!
