On April 25th, 2017 the EU Cycling Strategy 3rd Expert Group meeting took place at the ECF headquarters in Brussels. There were 15 people attending the meeting.

The goal of this EU cycling strategy meeting was to analyse the comments received by the experts and discuss the possible solutions and deliver the best results – the best possible EU cycling strategy. There were more than 50 people and organisations that took part in the public consultation.

Overall the expert meeting was a success. All the chapters of the EU cycling strategy have been discussed, and all the comments fully acknowledged. The broad topics where infrastructure, gender equality, mental health... The policy team will evaluate all the feedback received and will edit the blueprint document. The deadline is approaching fast, but our experts and ECF representatives are highly motivated and proactive and believe in the better tomorrow with the implementation of the EU cycling strategy.

The blueprint will be handed over to the Commissioner for Transport, Violeta Bulc, at the Velo-city conference on June 15th.
