ECF Workshops: Register now to make more cycling cities!
Two workshops, one mission: increase cycling in urban areas. ECF organises this double initiative alongside Eurocities, one of the most prestigious network of cities in Europe, the Danish Cyclists' Federation and the European Commission.
Venice, 1st October: Supporting cycling for livable cities
How do we increase the modal split of cycling in European cities? The conference will present tools and strategies for achieving this goal. The conference will bring together city officials and mobility experts. Attend this workshop and learn how to support cities in promoting cycling. Topics covered include:
- designing an urban cycling strategy
- cost-benefit analysis calculations
- developing and upgrading public bike-share schemes
- designing innovative marketing approaches

Copenhagen, 23rd-24th October: From research to successful policy
The workshop "Local policies, science and advocacy for cycling is a cross-collaborative workshop" addresses NGOs working with urban cycling related issues, people working directly in city and national government and researchers working on cycling topics.
How can we ensure that researchers facts and figures on cycling are influential in the right places? This workshop aims to inject science into policies on the local, regional and international level by looking at best practices from researchers and advocates from 7 European cities. It is an unmissable opportunity to:
- strengthen cross-sectoral relationships with top city officials and mobility experts
- learn how to use the expertise of scientists to promote cycling and influence policy-makers
