At the Annual General Meeting in Milan, ECF’s members were joined by many former colleagues on the ECF Board to celebrate Manfred Neun’s remarkable 12 years of service to ECF as President.

Manfred retired in December 2017 and was invited to the AGM as a guest of the current Board to allow members to say a warm “thank-you” for his leadership.

Lars Strömgen, who has acted as ECF President since Manfred’s retirement made the speech of thanks, and on behalf of the Board presented him with ECF’s highest award, the position of “Honorary President” in recognition of his achievements.

The award prompted a standing ovation which lasted several minutes.

Manfred’s goodbye message and his own reflection on his time with ECF can be read here.

The new ECF President, elected at the same meeting, is Christophe Najdovski, Deputy Mayor of Paris. A full news story on his election can be found here.

We would like to thank the host of our Annual General Meeting FIAB, for their support and great work in organizing this successful event.
