The main goal of the ActiveVoice project is to lead civil society organizations to pursue active and cross-sector advocacy for the EU Physical Activity (PA) Guidelines. For a successful implementation of the EU Physical Activity Guidelines it’s crucial to involve civil society organizations in the process. However, the current capacity of the organizations is not sufficient to play an effective role in policy making. Therefore the project aims to build capacity of the civil society organizations involved in HEPA.

To achieve the objectives ActiveVoice will

  • Build the knowledge base for active advocacy for the implementation of the EU PA guidelines

To build the knowledge base the actual level of progress in implementing the EU physical activity guidelines in 5 selected countries will be determined. In addition to that good practices in the field of advocacy for physical activity will be researched and aggregated to an inspirational tool for easy access. Pilot research will be done in Poland, Bulgaria and France to allow international comparison.

  • Build capacities in participating organizations to engage in active advocacy

To build capacities in organizations to engage in active advocacy ActiveVoice will develop tools and resources to facilitate the advocacy work of all involved organizations and conduct knowledge-sharing and training seminars or workshops.

  • Test the validity and quality of the proposed tools and capacities

To achieve that objective ActiveVoice project will establish cross-sector public activity advocacy alliances on national and local level and will organise advocacy interventions.

  • Widen the impact of the project

To widen the impact of the project, webinar series on HEPA policy advocacy as well as the dissemination and exploitation of the project results, will be developed.
