Organization
Svensk Cykling is an organization of cycle manufacturers, importers and bicycle dealers. The organizaton has a managing board of 8 members, it has a president, an information officer and is assisted by a PR team. The office is located in Stockholm, but Svensk Cykling is operating over all of Sweden. |

Short Summary
The organization was founded in 1997, but was reorganized in 2006 when a new name was adopted, Svensk Cykling. The goal of Svensk Cykling is to improve the conditions for cycling in Sweden. We want cycling to be safer and more convenient. We try to make cities make provisions for a better cycling infrastructure, we try to convince the Swedish Road Administration to invest more in cycling with regard to infrastructure and modified legislation. And finally, we try to make the government realize that more investments should be allocated to cycling facilities. |

Example activities
We arrange public events encouraging cycling, we are co-organizers of an annual cycle exhibition, we give ideas to lifestyle magazines to write about the advantages of cycling.
We meet regularly with representatives of the government, urging them to give more subsidies to cycling and we also meet MP:s regularly.
We also work in different committees dealing with cycling matters in collaboration with other organizations and the National Swedish Road Administration. We also perform Cykelvägsanalyser (Cycle road analysis) in different cities. Since 1998 we have made cykelvägsanalyser in more than 40 cities all over Sweden. |
