Organization The IGF offers single and family membership for cyclists and supporters in Vienna and all over Austria. It. runs 2 repair shops in Vienna to finance parts of its activities, maintains a website with informations for cyclists and about its projects and publishes regular email-newsletters to inform the members and customers.
Short Summary The IGF supports sustainable, non-polluting urban and rural traffic and seeks to promote and fortify bicycling as a daily way of transportation. It tries to provide a platform for pro-cyclist-activities and informations about bicycle-politics.
Example activities
The IGF runs projects like the “RadRettung Wien”, which offers bicycle repairment for free in public spaces; “ReCycle Wien”, a project in development to offer cheap used bikes and keep the cities streets clean of wrecks; organizes the “International Bicycle Film Festival” in Vienna and tries to influence & support the Austrian Government in realizing the new Austrian Masterplan for Cycling.
