Organization Roof of two oganizations: MKM (Mariborska kolesarska mreza) (about 60 members) LKM (Ljubljanska kolesarska mreza) (about 100 members). The Slovenian cycling federation is a voluntairy an non-profit association of organizations, who joined in faith of encouraging cycling in Slovenia, to influence a permanent developement of pedestrian, cyclist and public transport friendly traffic, to coordinate the movement of the organisations,and to represent them in a dialog with the national administration and international movements.
Short Summary
We coordinate and represent the collective effords of our members in times of debates, initiatives and campains regarding cycling in times when these are issued at state level. We have influence on traffic politics in Slovenia. We strive for realize suitable infrastructure for cyclists in Slovenia. We are connected with international organisations.
Example activities
We were cooperating with slovenian railways about transport bicycles on train. We presented our suggestions about law about security on road traffic. We working together with competent state agencies.
