Short Summary
The Bicycle Touring Club NAPOCA (CCN) is the first organisation from Romania dealing with bicycle promotion as an everyday means of transport and recreation through cycle touring and mountain biking. We are a non-governmental youth organisation, independent, non-political and non-profit. As cycle user group we provide free services to our members and to the members of other similar organisations as well as for companies, public authorities, tourists and any other person who is or could be interested in bicycling. We also promote mountain sports, environment protection, youth and civil society development. |
 |
Example activities
Bike expeditions both road and MTB in Romania and all around the world, mountain bike races, articles in the press, editing guidebooks, maps, leaflets, organising seminars, conferences, exhibitions, providing training, consultancy, lobby and advocacy. We drafted and promote new rules for cycling on public roads, plans for bicycle infrastructure in cities, standards, models and plans for signposting systems and a national cycle-route network in Romania (RNRCR). We found the national umbrella organisation for Romanian cyclists PRO VELO and are national contact for the EuroVelo project.
