Short Summary
Dublin Cycling Campaign is working to promote the interests of commuting cyclists in Dublin, and to give cyclists a voice in planning processes and media. Some of the issues we campaign on are: lower urban speed limits, effective enforcement of road traffic law, restrictions on heavy goods vehicles, removal of dangerous cycle "facilities".
Example activities
We monitor and report on the (poor) standards of roads and cycle tracks in Dublin. On the annual Car Free Day in September, we provide a humourous display, to contrast with the total lack of commitment from the authorities. The first Dublin Bicycle Arts Festival took place in July 2006.
